Wedding Portrait Session, Yonas & Bezawit at Kobota Garden<\/h1>\n

I feel very guilty that it has taken me so long to get the photos from this session up on my blog. \u00a0This is Part Two of a wedding portrait session that I had with Bezawit and Yonas. \u00a0Part One was done at Golden Gardens, Kerry Park, Parson’s Garden and Gas Work Park in late May, and this session was done in the Kubota Garden in late June. \u00a0The reason for having two sessions was that Yonas and Bezawit had not had any photos taken when they were married, and they wanted to get some good photos taken wearing both Western style wedding clothes and also traditional wedding garb from their native country of Ethiopia. \u00a0You can see photos from Bezawit and Yonas’ first Seattle wedding portrait session by clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When we did our first session in May, we had an overcast day that finally cleared a very slight amount about the time we reached our final destination. \u00a0Really almost perfect conditions for photos, nice soft diffused light. \u00a0But for Session #2, it was a very different story, with very bright sunny skies. \u00a0I am a big fan of sunshine, but it does change a lot of the possible ways to take photos, due to the harsh highlights and shadows that sunshine causes.<\/p>\n

When I met up with Yonas and Bezawit at Kubota I was amazed by the clothes they were wearing. \u00a0 They had told me that they would be wearing traditional Ethiopian wedding attire, but I had never seen this type of clothes before and was really excited to see how beautiful their clothes were. \u00a0And Bezawit had\u00a0a completely different hair style that just\u00a0blew me away, it was simply amazing!<\/p>\n

I have spent quite a bit of time at Kubota Garden with other engagement photos, as well as several weddings, and know the grounds quite well. \u00a0So I knew pretty much exactly where I wanted to take the couple for their photos, but was also aware that the harsh lighting could force\u00a0me to change my plans.<\/p>\n

As it turned out, while there were a few locations that I simply could not use due to the bright sun we were able to find lots of great places for photos in the garden. \u00a0Here is a sample of the photos that we took during this photo session, I hope that you like them!<\/p>\n
