Happy First Wedding Anniversary Shannon and Kevin!<\/h1>\n

It is hard for me to believe that an entire year has passed since the fantastic destination wedding of Shannon Buckham and Kevin Stewart at Bellingham’s Marine Park and Cruise Terminal<\/a>, held on September 3, 2017.\u00a0 Or as their friends called it, the “Buckwart Wedding”!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 You can visit my original posting of the wedding (which includes a LOT of photos from the entire day) by clicking on the link above.<\/p>\n

I want get get in links to the two separate parts of the wedding; first off the ceremony site at Marine Park<\/a>, and second the reception site at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal<\/a>.\u00a0 These locations are located several hundred yards apart along the shoreline on Bellingham Bay, and make a fantastic combination for a wedding celebration.\u00a0 This was my first time doing a ceremony at Marine Park, and I just loved it!\u00a0 I always like a good outdoor wedding venue (at least when the weather cooperates), and the layout of Marine Park gave us wonderful photo opportunities for photos along the beach with Kevin and Shannon, as well as with their wedding party and families.\u00a0 And the location of the actual ceremony gave a fantastic view out over the bay as the backdrop to the ceremony; hard NOT to love that as a photographer!<\/p>\n

But what I liked the most about this wedding was the rather zany group of friends of Kevin and Shannon, who kept the party operating at a very high level for the entire evening.\u00a0 When it was finally time for me to leave, the reception still had some time to run.\u00a0 So they helped me stage a fake good-bye to Shannon and Kevin on the big staircase inside the Terminal, with lots of bubbles being blown at the newlyweds as they made their way down the steps.\u00a0 In fact, they enjoyed it so much that we did the good-bye several times, each one accompanied by much laughter as the bride and groom were showered with bubbles!<\/p>\n
