Family Photo Session at Chism Beach Park<\/h1>\n

About two and a half years ago I photographed the wedding of a very nice young couple, Jessie and Josh, at the Rose Hill Community Center in Mukilteo<\/a>.\u00a0 After the wedding when Jessie and Josh came to pick up the photos, they mentioned that they were planning on starting a family soon and that I’d be hearing from them when they were ready for baby photos.\u00a0 Because I “Facebook Friend” almost all of my wedding clients I was not surprised when Jessie posted on FB that she was pregnant, and once the baby (whose name is Asher) was born I got in touch to discuss when they might want to schedule a family photo session.\u00a0 After discussing the pros and cons of new baby photos vs. older baby photos we agreed to take photos when Asher was a little older.<\/p>\n

About 11 months later I got an email from Jessie.\u00a0 She and Josh wanted to schedule a photo session with Asher sometime before we got too far into the autumn.\u00a0 It was currently October, and after comparing calendars we set a date in mid-November that would work for everyone.\u00a0 Of course, November weather in Seattle is rather notoriously unpredictable so we realized that rescheduling might be a possibility.\u00a0 But as the date approached we were very pleasantly surprised to find ourselves enjoying a very mild November, and the date of the shoot it was even somewhat sunny!\u00a0 We met at Chism Beach Park, one of my favorite Bellevue locations for photo sessions, and started right in.<\/p>\n

Asher is a very happy little boy, and immediately gave me big smiles that showed off the new teeth he was working on.\u00a0 He clearly had been photographed numerous times by his parents, and was a total ham in front of my camera.\u00a0 We began with photos of Asher by himself and then got more pictures with Jessie and Josh, and just worked our way around the park looking for good photo locations.<\/p>\n

I always really enjoy these session, both because I get to catch up with couples who I got to know while working with them on their wedding photos, and also because I get to meet the newest member of their family.\u00a0 And it is always fun to photograph babies and small children; well, at least if they’re in a good mood!\u00a0 Asher loved exploring the park, though as pretty much all kids his age like to do he was at time very interested in trying to eat any of the leaves, grass, etc. that he was able to get hold of.<\/p>\n

We spent a very enjoyable hour or so, and got a lot of really fun photos.\u00a0 I have included a small sample below, I hope that you like them!<\/p>\n
