Senior Photography Session with Jeff at the Botanical Gardens<\/h1>\n

A few weeks ago I had the very enjoyable opportunity to photograph Bellevue High School senior Jeff at the Bellevue Botanical Garden.\u00a0 I have known Jeff for almost 4 years; I am his coach on the Bellevue High track team, where Jeff is a javelin thrower.\u00a0 It has been a lot of fun getting to know Jeff, as well as teaching him to throw the javelin, and I was very happy when he told me that he wanted me to take his senior photos.<\/p>\n

We discussed several possibilities for locations for his photos, and after hearing my suggestions Jeff decided that the Botanical Garden was where he wanted to have his session.\u00a0 This is one of my favorite locations in the Seattle area for just about any kind of photo session so I was delighted with his choice.<\/p>\n

The session took place in September, so we still had fairly long days with good light.\u00a0 It meant that we could do the session in the mid-afternoon and not have to worry about running out of daylight.\u00a0 It also meant that we were less likely to have a lot of other people in the Garden while we were taking photos, giving us better access to some of my favorite parts of the Garden.<\/p>\n

The session took place on a Saturday, and sure enough even though it was very pleasant weather there were not many other visitors to the Garden that afternoon.\u00a0 We were able to take our time and explore the park, taking advantage of all of the best spots for photos.\u00a0 I had not seen much of Jeff since the previous spring and he filled me in on his class schedule for his senior year, as well as his hopes for what he would be doing after he graduated.\u00a0 It was a really fun shoot and I think we got a lot of great shots.\u00a0 Following is a selection of photos from our session, I hope that you like them!<\/p>\n
