Spectacular Surprise Marriage Proposal at Newcastle Golf Club<\/h1>\n

Just over a week ago I got a phone call from York.\u00a0 He and his fianc\u00e9 Danni had planned to be married on August 16, but due to the coronavirus their plans had been put on hold until 2021.<\/p>\n

But York had a very cool idea.\u00a0 He would arrange a special “surprise proposal” at the venue where the wedding was supposed to have taken place, The Golf Club at Newcastle<\/a>.\u00a0 If you are not familiar with this venue, it sits high on a hill top in Bellevue.\u00a0 In addition to being a fantastic golf course it has some of the best views of Seattle, Bellevue and Puget Sound of any location in the area.<\/p>\n

York did not screw around here, he really went all-in on creating an amazing experience for Danni.\u00a0 Huge letters spelling out “Marry Me”,\u00a0 hundreds (thousands?) of rose petals forming both a walkway and a giant heart, more roses decorating the patio where the proposal was to take place; I have truly never seen anything like it in 40 years as a wedding photographer!\u00a0 Plus York hired a violinist to play as he proposed, me to take still photos and a videographer to capture everything on video as well.<\/p>\n

I’m still not clear how York managed to get into his suit before having Danni come out onto the patio where everything was waiting, but he did it!\u00a0 From the expression on her face I’d say that York had fooled her completely, and she had no idea what he had planned.<\/p>\n

After the proposal I took Danni and York to a couple of my favorite places for some photos.\u00a0 You’ll see some samples below.<\/p>\n
