Sneak Peek – Sasha and Charlie’s Engagement Session at Alki Point

Here are a couple of photos from my engagement session two days ago at Alki Point. This is not the part of Alki that is frequented by most people; in fact, I often see few or even no other people when I’m taking photos here. The “popular” part of Alki faces back north and eastward Seattle, and has beach volleyball, shops and restaurants.  This side of Alki faces west, across Puget Sound and all the way to the Olympic Peninsula. Because we had a nearly cloudless sunny day, we had a wonderful view of the Olympic Mountains, as you can see in these photos.  I love that so few people know about this side of Alki, it keeps it quite private and makes it really easy for a photo session. I’ve done dozens of sessions here over the years, including engagement shoots, family photos, high-school senior photos, and even some small weddings!

I’ll be seeing Charlie and Sasha again next June, when I photograph their wedding.  They were a great couple to work with for this session, and I look forward to our next shoot.
