Happy First Wedding Anniversary Wishes to Mandy and James

Have any of you found that with the current changes in how we are able to live our lives due to the Coronavirus that the passage of time seems to have changed?  I have a hard time believing that it has already been over a year since James and Mandy were married in an elopement ceremony at the Seattle Municipal Courthouse.

This wedding was a perfect example of why it is important to arrive early when you’re eloping at the Seattle Courthouse.  On a nice spring day it is not uncommon to have 10 or more couples show up to get married, and since judges are available on a “first come, first served” basis if you are not there early you can have a long wait before a judge is available to perform the ceremony.  In this case the problem was an Uber driver who for some reason did not show up when expected, leading to a rather lengthy wait before Mandy and James were able to finally get married.

We took advantage of this time to get lots of photos with Mandy, James and the assorted family and friends who had come to be a part of the wedding.  And as it turned out, we were able to spend more time for the ceremony and subsequent photos on the Courthouse rooftop since we were the final wedding of the day.
